Tisztelt Sporttársak!

Mély fájdalommal tudatjuk, hogy Mészáros József Világbajnok magyar tekéző koronavírus okozta fertőzésben 80 éves korában elhunyt. 

Mészáros József 1982-ben páros Világbajnokként, valamint 1986-ban és 1988-ban Csapat Világbajnokként háromszoros Világbajnok tekézőnek mondhatta magát.

A sikeres tekézőt nyolcszor választották meg az év magyar férfi versenyzőjének és összesen tizenegy egyéni összetett magyar bajnoki címet szerzett!

Egész pályafutása alatt a BKV Előre SC Teke Szakosztályának versenyzője volt, ahová 1979-ben igazolt.
